Kiddelicious Kitchens

For some parents, mealtimes can be a bit tricky. And keeping a kid entertained while ensuring he completes the contents of his plate is a trick to be mastered indeed. Let us help you by providing a cheat sheet of kid-friendly restaurants where little ones can look forward to bouncy castles, colouring paper, lego blocks and of course delicious and hearty meals alongside them.

Coyote

When Spruce@ Phoenix Park with its plethora of Italian and American comfort foods said goodbye, its sister restaurant Coyote with its offerings of fun and festive Tex-Mex dishes offered an inviting hello! Kids will clap their little paws in delight as they scour the Coyote Puppies Menu for grub. Older kids will more likely pick from amongst the wide selection of tortillas, burgers, wings and pasta dishes. Parents can dine alfresco as they watch the kids have a ball in the outdoor playground or on a particularly hot day, opt for indoor seating with air-con. An extensive brunch menu is offered on weekends, complete with a bouncy castle.

House of AnLi

House of AnLi

What began as a fashion accessories shop quickly turned into a home décor label and has now quietly expanded to include a bistro. House of AnLi in Tanglin Mall was winning hearts and homes already with its offerings of fine Belgian linens, quality European home décor essentials and bespoke interior services. As of late it’s winning tummies as well with its lovingly prepared dishes based on founder Anne-Jean’s family recipes. Kids will be sure to devour the freshly baked pastries coming out of the oven and the entrees from the kids menu while parents sit back and indulge in the delicious brunch and choose from a curated selection of Allpress coffee, Mariage Freres teas, Belgian beers and exclusive champagne from Virginie T.

Watanabe Coffee

Japanese-Western fusion cuisine is comfort food at its ultimate. And Watanabe Coffee doesn’t disappoint. One of its winning factors is that the restaurant is open and ready to serve a hot breakfast at 8:30am. Kids will love the tasty toast options like banana cinnamon or pizza. Parents can opt for the healthier muesli or traditional Morning Plate complete with an egg, sausage, salad and a cup of steaming tea or coffee. It just gets better as the day progresses with lunch promotions of Karage, Meatball and Fried Prawn. Don’t be surprised if your little ones beg you to try the Cookie Churros with a side of vanilla ice cream.

Pim Pam by FOC

Pim Pam by FOC

Orchard just became a whole lot cooler with the opening of this all-dining gastro-bodega. Unlike its counterpart on Hong Kong Street, Pim Pam is big, bright and filled with vibrant decorations. Translation: kids will love it. Hearty Catalan dishes, friendly staff and coloring paper and crayons. What more can you ask for on a Saturday morning at 8:30am? Warm, deep fried churros with chocolate sauce on the side you say? Check!

Saint Piere – Fine Dining

Saint Pierre

Starched linens and formal table settings are not what a parent has in mind when thinking of a kid-friendly restaurant, but think again. Belgian chef Emmanuel Stroobant’s latest venture Saint-Pierre at One Fullerton offers just this – a fine dining experience for little ones. At $85 a head, it may not be the first choice for a casual Sunday dinner but the perfect way to celebrate your child’s special occasion. Introduce your precious ones to the four primary tastes: salty, sour, bitter and sweet presented in a delightful manner. Educate their senses and widen their palate.
