National Day Extravaganza

For those who weren’t lucky enough to chalk up tickets to the National Day parade, don’t fret. There’s still plenty of family fun where that came from. So bear your red and white and be prepared to show some true Singapore spirit lah!

So Singapore

From 4-13 August, head over to Sentosa’s Palawan Green where the Heritage Carnival is in full swing. Mingle with costumed characters, and savor local dishes such as Peranakan Kueh and Chendol. Kids can have a go at the outdoor obstacle course while parents can take have a laugh using retro photo props. On August 9, everyone can enjoy a live screening of the National Day Parade on a giant screen against the façade of iFly Singapore.

Singapore Sports Hub

You’re sure to be enjoying some good food on National Day but why not make it a point to get some exercise as well. Make the entire family join the many sports challenges at Singapore Sports Hub. Little kids will enjoy jumping on the bouncy castles, while the athletes out there can enter a 52-minute National Day fitness workout. Afterwards, reward yourself with a lovely picnic.

Orchid Extravaganza & Garden Rhapsody

Nations around the world stand in awe and admiration over Singapore’s rapid expansion in the short time since its independence 52 years ago. Watch the country’s journey from a small island to a force to be reckoned with through an unusual flower demonstration. Also from 1-20 August, the Garden Rhapsody light show will feature special National Day tributes.

 

 

 

Kidzania

Even this popular kids theme park is getting ready for National Day. Children will get a chance to show their dance moves to heart-warming patriotic tunes in a specially choreographed National Day performance. Stand to win fun prize by guessing facts about Singapore, get a temporary tattoo and show your support for the Lion City by writing something special on the Pledge Wall.

On National Day, join Pororo, the little penguin and his beloved friends at this indoor themed park where everyone can celebrate together. There will be yummy food from Kitchen Language Catering, face painting, balloon sculpting, live streaming of the National Day Parade and best of all, an unobstructed aerial view of the fireworks. And if for some absurd reason all this won’t bring a smile, then the goodie bag at the end of the event surely will!
