SAKURA MATSURI FESTIVAL

Organized by the Japanese Creative Centre, this festival is all about educating the public about an ancient culture through fun and engaging activities. From intricate tea ceremonies to exquisite dance performances and sensational Kendo (traditional martial arts) demonstrations to thrilling Taiko (Japanese Drum) sessions, there’s bound to be something for everyone to enjoy.

KATAPULT TRAMPOLINE PARK

Break out of your usual routine with a big dose of adrenaline pumping fun at Katapult Trampoline Park! Let your kids practice their hand-eye coordination at the Dodgeball station, improve their sense of balance on professional trampolines or just simply bounce around in bliss on interconnected trampolines at the Main Court. SESAME STREET 50 YEARS AND COUNTING CELEBRATION

It’s a no-brainer to attend a festival fit for the entire family and Singapore Festival of Fun is nothing if not that. For little ones this is a not to be missed interactive fun fair, for the older siblings a string of exciting street performances and for the parents an all-out comedy fest. Play games with your favourite TV show characters including Paw Patrol, SpongeBob SquarePants and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Watch jaw-dropping acts from some of the world’s best daredevils, gymnasts and jugglers. Wipe those tears from your eyes as you laugh nonstop. Don’t forget to enjoy an array of delicious dining experiences on top of all this entertainment.

Learn all the hidden secrets about the Balestier neighbourhood through various interactive activities for the entire family. Follow the refreshed Balestier Heritage trail, explore several different art installations and work your way through treasure hunts to seek valuable knowledge.

SPURBOX: FARMER’S MARKETS

Kids (3-12 years) will be excited to learn that the annual Farmers’ Market is back with a bang. Expect a fun-filled day complete with hands-on baking sessions involving puppy eclairs and poodle madeleines, entertaining arts and crafts activities making candy jars and clay boxes and scrumptious goodie bags filled with macaroons and cupcakes.

PLANTS AND THEIR HABITATS – A GUIDED TOUR

What do plants require for growth and care? PRAWNING CHALLENGE 

Whether you love to eat prawns or not, you’ll sure love to catch them. SAFRA’s Family Day out promises good fun with your loved ones all the while teaching young ones the importance of patience while waiting for a catch. The wait will definitely be worth it once everyone is chomping on freshly cooked prawns! Don’t worry if the patience starts to run thin after a while, there will be carnival games and crafting workshops plenty to keep kids busy. Also enjoy free popcorn, milk pudding and ice cream!
