When one says the word Easter, usually images of eggs, bunnies and baskets pop up. Well let’s mix things up a bit. This Easter break, we’ve brought you a range of events and activities for your entire family to start celebrating the holiday this weekend in unique and fulfilling ways. Don’t worry there will be a lot of the usual egg-citing and egg-cellent egg-related activities as well!
A Mad Hatter Easter Egg-stravaganza – April 8th
Calling all fans of Alice in Wonderland, put your best Mad Hatter hat forward. Get ready to enter a wacky wonderland of food, fun and games at the Singapore Polo Club. Kids will stand in awe as giant magic bubbles are formed around them, run around in delight seeking eggs, paint their faces, get balloons twisted, and if this won’t be enough, there will always be pony feeding to top it all off!
The Adventures of Potter Rabbit – April 8th
We’re all familiar with Peter Rabbit’s mischievous moves but now kids will get to celebrate the tales of Potter Rabbit with the use of clay. Over the course of 2 hours, little ones will be busy hopping around 4 different fun-filled stations at this mini carnival covering activities such as face painting, Easter Egg hunting, exploring the kiln and creating their own pencil holder.
Families for Life Picnic – April 8th
Looking for a healthy way to celebrate Easter this weekend? How about taking your entire family for the first ever rugby-themed Families for Life picnic at West Coast Park? If your kids are new to the sport, they will be able to learn more at the rugby clinics organised for just that purpose. For those family members who are less sports inclined, they can indulge in other exciting games, bouncy castles or get ready to sit back and watch a movie under the stars. Be sure to make your kids dress in comfortable clothing and bring extra water bottles so they will stay hydrated.
Easter Day Special: Hop Bunny Hop (Planting Workshop) – April 8th
Seeing as so much of Easter is centered on rabbits, why not let your kids celebrate this Easter in gardens, the Singapore Botanical Gardens that is. Participants will learn to plant an Easter Bunny garden out of recycled materials. During the session, kids will not only be able to express their creative flair but also learn about the importance and need for recycling. Sign your little gardeners for a fun educational experience close to nature.
