Heroic Toymakers

This Make & Play sessions not only includes a tour of this delightful museum filled with toys both old and new, but kids will get the opportunity to hear a moving tale about a resilient group of abandoned girls in 1920s China who resolved to lighten their childhood by making dolls. Afterwards, kids can participate in a DIY workshop where they’ll get a chance to use their creativity to the max.

The More We Get Together: Festivals and Festivities in Singapore

This traveling exhibition showcasing in the Woodlands Regional Library is all things educational. Highlighting the melting pot that Singapore is, these pieces of art display how Singaporeans of different races and religions celebrate their respective festivals and still manage to bind common threads with each other. Celebrate Singaporeans and all they stand for.

Science 2025 Hackathon

Science Centre is excited to present its first ever Science Communication Hackathon where families with kids aged 11-12 years, students and working adults are invited to enjoy a weekend with inspiring people to design creative solutions for Singapore’s 60th anniversary. Parents, let your kids see everyday science in a new light, watch them overcome challenges and inspire you and themselves in the process. Participants need to bring their own laptops from home for both the training workshop, which will cover topics like Design Thinking, Python Programming, Introduction to Arduino, and the Hackathon itself.

The Inventions of Ancient Greece

Travel back in time to explore the inventions of ancient Greece in the field of science and technology and understand their history as well. Specially curated by Kotsanas Museum of Ancient Greek Technology from Greece and presented by Science Centre Singapore, the “Ancient Greek Technology Travelling Exhibition” features more than 40 inventions that span across a multitude of disciplines; such as automation, programming, astronomy, time-keeping, and music. For the festive season, come and create your own gifts inspired by ancient Greece!
