Singapore Canoe Federation – Kid In a Kayak

Kids 7 years and above can look forward to a fun kayaking experience under the guidance of certified instructors who are both dedicated to the sport and enjoy working with children. The equipment and paddles have been specially constructed for young bodies. Over time kids can progress on to specific kayak styles which interest them such as sprint, canoe polo and slalom.

MacRitchie Reservoir Park – Kayak Orientation Program

Looking for a bonding activity for family and friends that is not only good for the soul but also for the body? Sign up for this kayaking course, which teaches both basic kayaking techniques and general water safety. Get ready to enjoy a paddling journey through the tranquil waters of MacRitchie Reservoir. For those who are uncomfortable or unable to kayak, don’t fret. There will be plenty of other activities like scooting, hiking and birdwatching to keep you busy, If nothing else, there’s always a picnic to enjoy.

 

 

 

 

Singapore Sports Hub

There is the option of signing up for the 3-hour Kayak Orientation Programme just like at MacRitchie Reservoir. Kids 13 and above can also enrol in the Kayak 1 Star Personal Skill Award course, where over 7 hours, they will learn the basics of the sport including the importance of water confidence. Those students who complete the course and are up for more can move on to Kayak Star 2 which help them develop a range of strokes and maneuvers.
